About the role
A part-time position (0.6 FTE) reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the role will lead the internal operations of Crime Stoppers Victoria (CSV), providing high-level governance, administrative, strategic planning and operational oversight. The role will drive sustainability for CSV and build trust and strength in the governance structures.
Job responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a robust corporate governance, risk management, quality improvement and compliance framework, including preparation of policies, procedures and management of contractual obligations.
- Oversee and provide advice on administrative matters including corporate governance, risk management, procurement information, technology services and HR.
- Work with the CEO and HR Consultant to support legislative changes and compliance requirements.
- Management of policy development, implementation and compliance across all areas, including coordinating the review and approval process with the Audit, Finance & Risk Committee (AFRC).
- Liaise with CSV’s external IT providers to ensure CSV has fit-for-purpose IT systems, hardware and equipment, policies and processes.
- Contract management for external service providers and software providers, including SLA and licences.
- Preparation of report packs for the AFRC, relevant reports for the Board, attendance at Board meetings and minute taking as required.
- Management of key project deliverables within the Strategic Plan, with particular emphasis in the area of technology innovation, through exceptional stakeholder management.
- Support the CEO with the formulation and execution of the CSV’s strategic objectives, business planning and project management
Your desired experience and attributes
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Business Management.
- Comprehensive understanding of governance, policy development, ICT, and risk practices.
- Ability to provide governance leadership and support to all levels of the organisation.
- Highly developed influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in governance and working with Boards. NFP experience desirable.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Ability to adjust work hours occasionally to accommodate Board meetings and other specific requirements.
